Iron Crane Yoga is a supportive yoga studio with experienced instructors specializing in women's health and chronic pain. Our tailored classes have helped countless women – at any age –  build strength, relieve pain, and feel confident in their bodies.

After all these years, you’ve given everything you have to everyone around you.

We understand what it’s like to feel that your body isn’t your own anymore. But we believe that knowledge is power – and when we understand what’s happening in our body, we can learn to move in ways that help us thrive, no matter what stage of life we’re in.

We support and challenge women to take back control of their movement. Our experienced, mindful instructors specialize in women's health and chronic pain to help students feel more connected and in tune with their bodies.

Meet Our Team

Jeanetta Bodie

Owner/Founder and Yoga Teacher Training Director

I’m Jeanetta, owner and instructor at Iron Crane Yoga. When I was pregnant with my son, I couldn’t do my normal workouts or routines. I went from doing Ironman races to nothing at all, which was super discouraging. It was like my body was changing before my eyes, and I didn’t have any grace for myself. I felt like I needed to ‘do more’ but I physically couldn’t. Even after getting the all-clear from my doctor at 6-weeks postpartum, something still didn’t feel right.

Then, in 2016, I committed to a journey toward health that honored the essence of womanhood, and it started with a yoga practice. It was on my mat that I found grace for my body, mindfulness, and rebuilt my strength in a way that felt good. I felt confident again, not only in motherhood but also in myself, and I knew I wanted to help other women feel that, too.

That’s why I started Iron Crane Yoga – to teach women about their incredible bodies and encourage them to move in a way that honors where they are — whether that’s working with their cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, or just pursuing overall health. Through 60-minute yoga and strength training classes, we help women connect with themselves and move their bodies with confidence. With each session, we’ll challenge our students to test their limits and grow stronger with every movement.

Our programs are not about how fast you can run, how much you can lift, how quickly you fit in your pre-pregnancy jeans, how early you hit menopause, or if you’ve even stepped foot in a gym or a yoga class. I am about changing the way that you think about your health and learning how to befriend your body. I want you to know that health, joy, and living your one wild and precious life is possible without starving yourself, abusing your body, and hating life.

doraine Bennett

Studio Manager, Lead Yoga Instructor and Educational Director

I’m Doraine. I am not naturally flexible. I did not come to yoga because I found these bendy ways easy.

I had a history of low back pain after five pregnancies.  When my back would “go out,” I often spent days lying in the floor on a heating pad, applying analgesic cream, and popping anti-inflammatory pills. A very good physical therapist kept me out of surgery and got me into an exercise program to strengthen my low back.

One day nearly twenty years ago, the instructor decided to experiment on us with her new, self-taught knowledge of yoga. I could tell these stretches with the strange names were accomplishing something in my body that nothing else had done. I was totally hooked.

That was the beginning of my yoga journey. Since then, I've studied in several studios, enjoying the different styles, creating muscle memories that lasted longer than some of my mental ones, especially the last place I laid my keys or my phone. I eventually opened my own studio in Georgia. It was a truly joyful season of life.

Because back pain had been such a factor in my life, I began to study current pain science theory. I found ways to incorporate that knowledge into my yoga teaching. One of my favorite things to teach is how to find the work in a pose, especially when your body doesn’t move like those yoga models. I love using yoga tools—blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, bands, and even the wall—to find appropriate work for every body.

Amelia Finley

Vinyasa Yoga and Iron Strength Instructor

I’m Amelia. I have loved moving my body and some form of exercise for as long as I can remember. I love the physical and mental challenges you acquire while holding tough yoga poses, the playfulness of flows, the mobility that carries over into my strength training, and the feeling of lying down getting ready for Savasana
I practiced yoga off and on for the next couple of years until the right offer came along. It happened to be YTT with Iron Crane that started in January 2023. I found the most amazing growth, development in practice and connection. I taught my first post-YTT class the Friday after YTT graduation, when I said all in I wasn't kidding. Now I teach a weekly vinyasa class (come see me!) and I've found even more love for yoga and the people at Iron Crane.

Steph Woods

Studio Director, Lead Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor

I’m Steph. I am a certified personal trainer and a yoga instructor who blends strength training into my yoga classes, while creating a dynamic and empowering experience. My goal is to teach you about your incredible body and encourage movement that honors where you are on your journey. Whether you are looking to regain mobility or increase your mobility, you will find my classes fun, relaxed, and accessible for all bodies, with clear guidance and modifications throughout. By combining yoga with strength building, we can foster a balanced approach to wellness, helping you grow stronger and more connected to your body. We all deserve to feel damn good in the process!

Julie Mosier

Iron Strength Instructor

I’m Julie, and from the moment I first walked into Iron Crane, I knew I had found my place. The sense of community, the depth of support, and the joy in every class drew me in. Since then, I've not only been a regular participant but also completed the studio's first teacher training and mentorship for the Iron Strength program.

My approach to strength training is all about functionality—helping you stay mobile, balanced, and strong so you can keep doing what you love, whether it’s gardening, hiking, or anything else that brings you joy. In my classes, we focus on building strength while maintaining the flexibility and balance needed for everyday life. I believe in making fitness fun, fostering a welcoming environment, and encouraging everyone to give themselves grace on the hard days while celebrating the commitment they've made to their wellness.

Andrea Aamodt

Iron Strength Instructor

I’m Andrea, and I became very active in exercise, balance, and strength when I joined my junior high’s gymnastics team in eighth grade.  That was a long, long, time ago, and as my body has aged and changed, so have my health and wellness goals. I spent years lifting free weights, cycling, and long distance running.  When my friend brought me to Iron Crane, I knew it was exactly what I needed. Iron Crane is a place that empowers one to achieve health and wellness goals because when you enter, everyone genuinely cares for you and more importantly, believes in you.

In the Spring of 2024, I leapt at the opportunity to be a participant in the studio's first teacher training and mentorship for the Iron Strength program. As a new instructor, I continue to grow and learn with each class I teach, and each class I take!  When I teach I listen to participants as they share their goals and their challenges. As I  grow my knowledge of strength training and overall health and wellness and listen to  participants’ goals, I design classes to build strength, balance, flexibility,  mobility, and confidence.

Laura Boyle

Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist

I’m Laura and spent close to 20 years in public health, developing large, population-based programs. But I did not get to see the results of my work and often encountered bureaucratic red tape. So I made a change and became a massage therapist. Realizing I needed to stay flexible to be present for my clients, I joined Iron Crane. Feeling embraced by the Iron Crane community, I completed their 200-hour yoga instructor training. As a yoga instructor, I design classes that incorporate movements and poses that can connect with your day-to-day life. I may focus on a muscle group or a particular theme so that when you leave you not only feel stronger and more flexible, but more empowered to achieve your goals.
